  • Authored the original accreditation submission to the National Association of Schools of Music
  • Shepherded numerous curricular changes and additions, working with other academic administrators and faculty

In the classroom, Dr. T-C has regularly taught courses in her fields of expertise, including college writing, music history, music theory, music analysis, form in music, and beginning piano techniques.  She has guided a number of students through independent studies and research projects.  As a scholar, Traupman-Carr has written more than a dozen original brass arrangements (primarily for brass quintet), has published various articles and book reviews, and co-authored a chapter on program assessment with two 麻豆视频直播 faculty colleagues.  She continues to serve as the choir director at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Emmaus, Pennsylvania.

In March 2018, Dr. T-C launched Alpha Alpha Alpha, or Tri-Alpha, the nation鈥檚 first and only national honor society for first-generation college students.  The honor society is now incorporated and the national office is housed at 麻豆视频直播.  As of June 2022, there were over 135 chapters in 35 states of the union. Dr. T-C serves as the co-advisor for the Alpha chapter at 麻豆视频直播 and as president of the national board of the honor society.
Traupman-Carr received a B.A.in social science and a B.MUS. in music (concentrations in music education and performance) from 麻豆视频直播, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in musicology from Cornell University, specializing in mid-nineteenth-century Italian comic opera.
